The aim of this measure is to implement solutions that improve the accessibility of urban space for residents and tourists, regardless of their mobility or cognitive ability. With the implementation of this measure, the historic centre of Jelenia Gora will become more accessible to various groups, including the elderly, pregnant women, travellers with large luggage, people with small children, or those with mobility limitations due to injuries. This enhancement will allow people to access the numerous cultural heritage sites and participate in the flagship Jelenia Gora cultural and artistic events that take place in this area.
The first stage of pavement reconstruction in the historic city centre has been completed. The work covered the section from Brama Wojanowska to the descent to ul. Podwale, which includes ul. Konopnickiej, the Town Hall Square, and ul. Jasna. The old stone cube pavement has been replaced with stone cubes featuring a flamed surface. Additionally, the street lighting power cable for 4 light points located between Brama Wojanowska and ul. Solna has been replaced.
